A story of service, compassion, and leadership.

I first learned the importance of public service not from a podium or a campaign, but from the everyday challenges that come with building a community. Growing up in Rhode Island, I saw how local decisions shaped people's daily lives, from access to good schools and safe neighborhoods to opportunities for work and dignity. Those early lessons inspired me to step forward, to listen, and to serve the very community that raised me.

When I was elected to the Newport City Council, I carried that same commitment with me. I worked to ensure that government remained accessible, transparent, and responsive to the people it represents. Whether it was standing up for working families, improving local services, or ensuring that every voice, not just the loudest, was heard, I saw firsthand how collaborative leadership can strengthen our city and restore faith in public institutions.

My work since then has continued that mission. Through partnerships with organizations like the Women's Fund of Rhode Island and local advocacy initiatives, I've focused on expanding opportunities for women, improving access to education, and helping people connect with meaningful employment, including in state and local government. I've also seen the power of mentorship and data-driven policy in building systems that truly reflect our values of equity, inclusion, and fairness.
