Mail ballot applications due

The last day to apply for a mail ballot for the primary. Applications must be received by your city or town's board of canvassers, not just postmarked, so don't leave it to the last mail pickup.

Early voting opens

Aug 20 – Sep 8 · Newport and Jamestown town halls

Early in-person voting runs for twenty days. The window closes at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, the day before the primary. If your Wednesday is complicated, this is the easiest way to make sure your vote counts.

This is the one. Note the day: unlike most years, Rhode Island's primary falls on a Wednesday, not a Tuesday. Bring a photo ID. If you're unable to present one, you have the right to cast a provisional ballot.

New Kicks on the Block Kickball Tournament & Cookout

Miantonomi Park, Newport

A free afternoon of kickball, grilled food, and conversation for neighbors from Tonomy Hill, Chapel Terrace, Rolling Green, The Admiralty, Bayside Village, Newport Heights, Parkholm, Festival Fields, and Coddington Point. Voter registration was available on site.
